Strive For Strength | Exercise Physiology for Rehab, Strength and Wellbeing
1. What is an Exercise Physiologist, and how can they help me?
An Exercise Physiologist is a qualified health professional who uses exercise therapy to help manage chronic conditions, injuries, disabilities, and overall health. We design safe and effective programs to improve strength, mobility, and quality of life.
2. What is the difference between an Exercise Physiologist and a Personal Trainer?
Exercise Physiologists are university-qualified professionals trained in treating chronic conditions, rehabilitation, and injury management using evidence-based exercise therapy. Personal trainers focus more on general fitness and weight loss without the same clinical background.
3. Do I need a referral to see an Exercise Physiologist?
No referral is needed for private clients! However, if you’re claiming through NDIS, Medicare, DVA, or WorkCover, a referral may be required. Contact us, and we can guide you through the process.
4. What areas do you service?
We are a mobile service based in Victoria, bringing exercise physiology and strength & conditioning to clients in their homes, gyms, or community settings. We are originally based in Craigieburn but happy to travel where you feel comfortable. Please note: There may be an extra fee for travel.
5. Do you work with NDIS participants?
Yes! We are a registered NDIS Provider and offer exercise therapy for participants with physical, intellectual, or psychosocial disabilities to improve strength, mobility, and independence.
6. Can you help with injury rehabilitation and pain management?
Absolutely! Our exercise programs support injury recovery, chronic pain, and musculoskeletal conditions, helping you regain strength and function safely.
7. Do you offer strength and conditioning for athletes?
Yes! We provide strength & conditioning programs to athletes of all levels to enhance performance, injury prevention, and recovery. We also hold a Level 1 in Powerlifting Certification with Powerlifting Australia.
8. How do I book an appointment?
You can call, email, or fill out the contact form on our website to book a session. We’ll discuss your goals and find a time that suits you!
9. Do you accept Medicare, private health insurance, or WorkCover?
Yes! We accept Medicare (with an EPC referral), private health insurance (depending on coverage), WorkCover, TAC, and DVA claims. Contact us for more details.
10. What should I wear and bring to a session?
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing and supportive shoes. Bring a water bottle and any relevant medical reports or referrals if needed.
